Hand reflexology is just as effective as foot reflexology and is both comforting and relaxing for both the giver and receiver. It is suitable for clients with particularly sensitive feet, clients with foot infections or deformities of the feet, the elderly who may have mobility issues and for hospital visits where the logistics of being able to access the feet may be a problem.
Working the hand reflexes induces deep relaxation, revitalises your energy, balances your emotions and helps the body systems.
You are encouraged to work your own hand reflexes as part of your aftercare in between treatments.

Macmillan Cancer Support explains “There are many reasons for using complementary therapies. They can be a good way of helping you cope with some of the stresses caused by cancer and cancer treatments. Many therapies are relaxing, and having an enjoyable experience may lift your spirits when you aren't feeling your best. Some complementary therapies can also help to relieve specific symptoms or side effects caused by cancer or its treatments. Complementary therapies are used alongside, or in addition to, conventional medical treatments. They do not claim to cure cancer. People use them to boost their physical or emotional health"

From the onset of puberty to the menopause and beyond, women will experience huge changes in their bodies due to the influences of hormones. These are totally natural processes, but some women can develop hormonally related problems such as painful or heavy periods, pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS), endometriosis or Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) as well as menopausal symptoms. In some women, these symptoms can be severe and really affect their quality of life. Reflexology aims to help the body to balance the hormones and promote deep relaxation.

One of the key elements of life is stress. Stress can be positive keeping us healthy and giving us an extra burst of energy when needed. However long term stress can have a detrimental affect on our health. Reflexology is the perfect method of relaxing the body, composing the mind and re-energising the body systems.
The physical benefits of reflexology for men are numerous. Reflexology restores the body to a state of calm and provides deep relaxation. This in turn has a ripple effect, relaxing all the systems of the body from the digestive system, to the circulation and to the muscles. Reflexology can have a real positive impact on men who are active and whose feet bear the brunt of their day to day life.
The UK Reiki Federation describes Reiki as " a natural healing energy activated by intention. It works on every level, not just the physical. The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century.
The Japanese word Reiki means Universal energy. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things. Reiki is non-invasive, gentle yet powerful and may be used alongside orthodox healthcare. It is not however an alternative to conventional medicine."
Reiki works by treating the whole person including the body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial affects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Reiki is highly effective in achieving deep relaxation and for help in managing stress and anxiety.
